Nigerian Police Attack Protesters

Over 5000 protesters are gathered at Liberation Square,Kano State to protest the sudden removal of fuel subsidy in Nigeria, Africa's biggest producer oil yet importer of refined oil.

This is the first all-night protest since the peaceful protest dubbed OccupyNigeria began on monday.

Unfortunately, officers of the Nigerian Police Force invaded the centre of the peaceful protest at about 2a.m where over 50 protesters are reported injured.

Meanwhile protesters have relocated from the Liberation Square to Sabuwar Kofa, about 1km away from the former location.

Ironically, the supposed giant of Africa, is yet to implement the #18,000 minimum wage, yet our government has deceitfully removed fuel subsidy.
